POWER ETHERNET 13A Socket x4 Way Switch
The PE-200AV-T1000 Power Ethernet socket requires no rewiring and is an elegant, simple and cost-effective way to create a network without the need for expensive cabling or unsightly plug-in adapters.
Compatible with the HomePlug AV standard for either Homeplug or Powerline adaptor networking, the Power Ethernet socket combines four Ethernet network ports, a fully-managed network switch and filtered power socket which all fits into a UK Standard 35mm double gang metal back box. The Powerline technology inside the Power Ethernet sockets allows the existing mains cables to be used to transmit high speed data securely throughout the building without the cost and disruption of installing additional cabling.
There is a good reason to have 4 high speed Ethernet ports: install a Power Ethernet socket behind the TV and connect the TV, Blu-Ray player and games console to it. Install a second Power Ethernet socket in the study and connect the Internet router, computer, printer and NAS drive to it and all these devices are now connected to the Internet and ready to share digital media across the Power Ethernet network.
The Power Ethernet socket has automatic data prioritisation to provide quality of service to ensure that all devices are connected at the highest quality. The integrated mains socket has a built in mains filter improves the network speed. The Power Ethernet socket is a British invention and is the only HomePlug compatible Powerline device that embeds all the electronics inside a standard UK wall power socket making it easy for any electrician to install. The Power Ethernet sockets have good green credentials: the sockets automatically go into power save mode for reduced power consumption when the network ports are not being used. Individual sockets can also be put into deep hibernation for further power savings.
Key features:
- No rewiring required
- Simple to install by any electrician - simply replace a power socket with an Power Ethernet socket
- Professional and aesthetic installation by replacing existing double-gang power sockets
- Removes the clutter and danger of cables thereby improving Health and Safety
- Much cheaper to replace existing power sockets with Power Ethernet sockets then to add additional structured cables
